Bear Town Foundation is strictly focused on how it can help the local communities, property owners and businesses of Tahoe regardless of the size of the organization.
Prevent Bears Entering Properties
Bears will enter properties when given the chance. We have to minimize this potential by working with property owners and businesses to design appropriate entry systems that prohibit bears entering when unmonitored. A trapped bear is a dangerous bear.
Trash Storage
Storage of our waste has always been at the forefront of every Bear Aware campaign however, there is still a need for a comprehensive solution to this issue. Even with bear-resistant containers in many of our communities unless all attractants are removed we will still have unnecessary human-bear conflicts. We aim to provide the necessary
solutions to those in need.
